[Watch] Unanimous Decision: Stephen Curry Makes It Back-to-Back MVPs

And just after an unreal comeback performance, too.

Stephen Curry just went back-to-back on the NBA.

The Golden State Warriors' All-Star point guard was named the league's MVP for the second straight season Tuesday, earning the honor via the first unanimous vote in NBA history, as reported by ESPN.

The Splash Brother is more than deserving, considering he led the league in scoring with an average of 30.1 points per game in a season, in which he shattered his own record for most 3-pointers made in a single year with 402. That and he led his Golden State Warriors to an NBA single-season best record of 73-9. He's also the 11th player in NBA history to win the MVP award in consecutive seasons.

And the timing to make his second consecutive MVP official couldn't have been any better.

Playing for the first time since suffering a sprained right knee on April 24, Curry let it be known once again that he's the most dynamic player in the game Monday night, dropping 40 points — including an NBA-record 17 in overtime — to lift his Warriors to a 132-125 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 4.

Good lawd... who comes off an injury and does that? Steph Curry does, that's who.

It was an unreal, epic performance, reinforcing the notion that we're witnessing something really special with this guy.

At one point, the usually humble Curry had to flex on the league, letting them know, "I'm back."

The craziest part about Steph's performance is he was originally scheduled to only play 25 minutes off the bench. However, when Warriors point guard Shaun Livingston was ejected for arguing a call in the second quarter, it forced Curry to log more minutes... and the back-to-back MVP relished the situation, using it to prove he's back to his normal lights-out-shooting self, showing no ill effects from his injury.

The 17 points he dropped in OT will go down in NBA lore as something of legend status. In fact, there are already folks comparing it to Michael Jordan's iconic flu game during the pivotal Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals.

Curry's not Mike... but he is the greatest shooter the league has ever seen, as showcased once again Monday night.

"I love this game, I love playing and love competing. And really, really missed being out there with my teammates," Curry told ESPN. "To help our team get a win tonight and in that fashion, that was a good feeling in that moment to be back on the floor and playing."

Curry's Warriors can close out their second-round series with the Trail Blazers on Wednesday night.

Congrats to the back-to-back MVP.

And Chef Curry's growing legend just keeps adding chapters.
