Pittsburgh Linebacker James Harrison Has Choice Words for Goodell
Pretty much anyone who has encountered Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison felt his wrath in a recent interview with Men’s Journal.
Former rivals and teammates alike were called on the carpet, but the always outspoken Harrison saved his best insults for NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. There is no doubt Harrison and Goodell aren’t dinner buddies after the league levied $100,000 in fines on Harrison last season for illegal hits, but Harrison took his disdain for the commish to another level.
"If that man was on fire and I had to piss to put him out, I wouldn't do it," Harrison said in the interview. "I hate him and will never respect him."
Apparently Harrison didn’t stop there, among other insults he sent Goodell way were that he is a devil, crook, stupid, dictator and a puppet.
One of the funnier parts of the interview is how Harrison would have used his up close and personal moment with Goodell had the Steelers been successful in defeating Green Bay during last winter’s Super Bowl. He says he would have whispered in Goodell’s ear during the trophy ceremony, "Why don't you quit and do something else, like start your own league in flag football?"
It’s safe to say that would have been a first.
