Wu-Tang Clan's Top-Secret Album Sells for Millions
Wu-Tang’s Clan’s top-secret Once Upon a Time in Shaolin album finally sold to a mystery buyer, Forbes reports. Auction house Paddle 8 confirmed the sale, but did not reveal further details on the buyer.
The album's final price was in the millions, according to the Los Angeles Times. Last year, RZA said the single-copy double disc received a $5 million offer.
It took more than five years to record Once Upon a Time in Shaolin, which has been certified as music's most valuable album by the Guinness Book of World Records. The ultra exclusive release comes with a copyright ban that expires in 88 years.
