Lil Wayne Reunites the Hot Boys at Lil WeezyAna Fest
Lil Wayne must have been in a nostalgic mood on Friday night. Tunechi hit the stage at Lil WeezyAna Fest, his first annual homecoming concert in Louisiana to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, and brought out a piece of Louisiana history for the show.
Juvenile, Turk and producer Mannie Fresh — who, along with Wayne, formed the seminal hip hop collective Hot Boys — joined him for a reunion set, along with rapper B.G.'s mother, who represented for her incarcerated son (he's currently serving a 14 year sentence on gun possession charges). The former Cash Money mates put the past in the past to perform in front of the sold-out crowd.
But the party didn't stop there. Wayne brought out August Alsina, Master P and even Drake — whose performance was suspiciously cut out of TIDAL's live stream of the event. Those with a subscription can check out the stream here. If not, social media is flooded with video evidence of all the magic, including a clip of Drizzy's set courtesy of Alsina (see below).
