Mannie Fresh Responds to Lil Weezyana Rumors
Go 'head and say it, "I need a Hot Boy...reunion."
With the first-ever Lil Weezyana Fest lined up for this Friday (Aug. 28) and the city of New Orleans reflecting on the 10-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, curiosity is building about which surprise guests may pop up alongside Lil Wayne.
So much so, that an unnamed source even is accusing Mannie Fresh of faking a Hot Boys reunion for the flier for the fest's official after-party.
Fresh's management swiftly cleared that up.
"Mannie was given the official after-party for the concert by Lil Wayne and Wayne's management. Plain and simple," the rep revealed in a statement to BET.com, adding, "any other party is not official and we wish everyone well in their endeavors, but to lie and slander Mannie's name is shameful."
Whatever goes down this weekend, it wouldn't quite be a full Hot Boys reunion (B.G. still locked up, obvi). However, one thing's for sure, "You gon' be mad you missed it," Wayne told ESPN Radio's His & Hers.
Lil Weezyana live streams via TIDAL from Bold Sphere Music at Champions Square.
The official after party with Mannie Fresh takes place at Masquerade in Harrah's Casino, which reopened during Mardi Gras 2006.
