Report: LAPD Wants to Stop Chris Brown Performances
Another event attended by Chris Brown erupted in violence last night (Sept. 23), TMZ reports. A man was stabbed after Brown and a flock of other recording artists like Trey Songz and Ty Dolla $ign hit up a Lil Wayne and Drake party at the Supperclub in Hollywood, Calif.
The victim has been hospitalized and is expected to recover, but in the meantime, the LAPD has noticed a pattern. Monday’s incident is the third act of violence to take place before, during or after Brown shows up to a hot spot. There’s suspicion that his crew, and alleged affiliation to the Bloods gang, are somehow involved. Whenever Brown and his entourage drop by a party things turn into a “headache” for cops, a law enforcement source said.
On the other hand, the LAPD hasn’t been able to convince club promoters to stop working with Brown because he’s a money maker. Fans continue to show up to support his club appearances, sometimes to a fault. A brawl broke out at a party he hosted in New York City two weeks ago and Suge Knight was shot six times at a Breezy pre-MTV Video Music Awards party in late August.
TMZ has video of Brown partying it up at the Supperclub prior to the incident. He appears intoxicated, takes a swig out of a bottle that Songz hands him and sings along to some of his music.
Since witnesses wouldn't talk, police were unable to arrest anyone in connection with the stabbing.
