Chief Keef Sued for Ditching Breast Cancer Concert
Chief Keef is facing another potential cut in his rapper salary, this time for canceling on a breast cancer benefit concert just hours before he was to take the stage, reports TMZ.
Kim Productions, which was looking to secure Keef for a charity concert in Cleveland, Ohio, last year, filed a lawsuit claiming that the company was fulfilling its end of the agreement when it paid out $15K in advance appearance fees for the Chicago-bred rapper. Further, the court docs state, Kim Productions even wired $2,500 more when a demand came in for "travel expenses" the day before the scheduled show. Those expenses apparently included $88 worth of chicken wings ordered to his tour bus.
Keef was to receive another $10K afterwards, but instead, he was a no-show. Now, Kim Productions wants $26K in losses, citing his appearance fee, the money wired for travel, plus the costs of the venue, lighting, marketing and refunding ticketholders.
The flyer for the concert, scheduled for Jun. 15, 2013, is still up on the charity's website.
If a judge rules in the company's favor, this will be the second major pay out the rapper will have to make for missing a concert in the past six months. In August, a judge ruled that Keef pay more than $230,000 in no-show fees after Keef ditched a performance in London.
