Fat Joe Released From Prison
Christmas came early this year for Fat Joe — on Thanksgiving Day, in fact. The Bronx-born rapper was released early from jail, where he was serving a four month sentence for tax evasion. On Aug. 26, Joe turned himself in to Miami's Federal Detention Center to serve his time but his sentence was cut short due to unspecified reasons.
His pal DJ Nasty announced the news of the "Lean Back" rapper's release via an adorable video on Instagram, capturing Joe surprising his daughter with his return.
While Fat Joe is a free man once again, he will have to pay a $15,000 fine for his tax evasion and undergo a year of supervision.
Upon his return, Joe dusted off his Twitter account to thank fans for their well wishes.
"For real I wanna thank y'all for ALL your support and welcome back shutouts!! Joe Crack is back!!!!"
Welcome home, Joe!
