Kelly Rowland Reschedules Tour Dates for X Factor

Singer's Lights Out tour with The Dream is delayed.

Kelly Rowland is so sincere about working with X Factor, she's rescheduling the Lights Out tour dates with The Dream so she can fulfill her newly appointed role as judge on the music competition show.

Both singers have albums releasing just before summer officially hits and were to set off on a joint tour this Friday (May 24), but the multi-city auditions for X Factor already began this week (May 22).

Previously, Rowland's relationship with the U.K. version of the X Factor dissolved due to scheduling conflicts. This time around, she wants to be there for both her TV and live audience fans.

"It's an amazing experience to be able to perform live for your fans.... The Dream and I are so grateful to have the opportunity to tour together," she told MTV. "Even though we've adjusted our original plans a bit, we're very excited."

The tour will begin one day later, this Saturday (May 25) at the Riverfest in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The Dream confirmed that the rescheduling is a difficult task, but he's in full support of Rowland's career.

“First, I want to wish my friend Kelly congratulations on her new gig at X Factor," he said. "Unfortunately, we have to change some tour dates, which has been extremely hard for me and for Kelly. We are looking forward to seeing everyone at a later date."

To the cities they have to cancel altogether, The Dream promises to return in one way or another.

"I will find the time to come to some of the cities left out to the best of my ability, if only to be in front of the fans that support us. So request this [IV Play album] with your local radio stations and I'll be there. I'm amped and ready!"

The Dream's IV Play is set to drop on May 28; Rowland's Talk a Good Game is slated for June 18.
