Alicia Keys, Usher to Perform at Inaugural Ball
Alicia Keys and Usher will join the president and first lady at this year's Inaugural Ball and Kids Inaugural.The R&B stars have been announced among performers at the grand fete, which will also include Katy Perry, Smokey Robinson and Brad Paisley.
The ball will take place the night of President Barack Obama's inauguration on January 21 at the Washington Convention Center. Earlier in the day, Beyoncé, Kelly Clarkson and James Taylor will perform on the steps of the Capitol to commemorate President Obama's signing into office for his second term.
Several more stars are scheduled to perform at the at the highly-anticipated events. The bill currently includes John Legend, Stevie Wonder, Mindless Behavior, Nick Cannon, Marc Anthony, the Far East Movement and the cast of Glee.
Tickets to the Inaugural Ball sold out quickly, with a few remaining for campaign volunteers and government staffers. Last year's ball featured a memorable performance of the Etta James classic "At Last" by Beyoncé.
