TLC Planning Reunion Tour, New Album
On the 10 year anniversary of TLC member Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes's death, the remaining members of '90s R&B girl group announced that they're in the planning phases of putting together a tour and possibly recording another album.
According to TMZ, Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas have already booked five cities for what they hope will be a massive reunion tour that will honor their fallen member, Left Eye. Rumor has it T-Boz and Chilli will attempt to resurrect their late partner on the big screens similar to the Tupac Shakur performance at Coachella but nothing has been confirmed.
T-Boz and Chilli spoke about the anniversary of Left Eye's passing.
"The word anniversary means a celebration. For us her death will never be a celebration, it's still something that hurts," said T-Boz.
"Lisa is our sister. You never get over losing a family member. We love her and we miss her and that isn't ever going to change," added Chilli.
The group is also celebrating another anniversary — their 20th as a group. T-Boz and Chilli are working on a made-for-TV movie series inspired by their story and new album to commemorate the milestone.
As for the tour, the girls are thinking it will begin sometime toward the end of 2012.
