Serena Williams Covers Vogue 's Olympics Issue

Vogue rarely has a man gracing its cover, but for the June 2012 issue, six-time Olympic medalist swimmer Ryan Lochte joins soccer star Hope Solo and tennis champion Serena Williams for its 2012 London Olympics feature. Lochte is only the fourth man on the fashion magazine's cover (the last — and first Black man — was LeBron James, whose appearance in 2008 alongside Gisele Bundchen stirred up criticisms for promoting stereotypes). On this summery cover, Williams and Solo don gold retro swimsuits while holding onto Lochte's buff arms.
The issue features a look at this year's top Olympians including NBA player Dwyane Wade, who will be appearing on the U.S. Olympic team for the third time. “I thought Beijing [in 2008] would be my last one, but here I am!”
