Taraji P. Henson to Pen Memoir
Taraji P. Henson is having the best year ever. Fresh off of the record-breaking first season Empire, and set to host Saturday Night Live this weekend, the actress is busier than ever. Now, she is putting her efforts into a memoir set to be released next year.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar-nominated actress has secured a publishing deal with the Simon & Schuster imprint 37 Ink. The publisher revealed exclusively to The Associated Press that the book, which is currently untitled, is tentatively set for a mid-2016 release.
Henson, who stars as Cookie Lyon in the FOX drama series Empire, will touch a range of topics in the memoir including her childhood in a rough neighborhood in Washington D.C., being a single parent to her son, and her roles in television throughout the years.
Fans of the actress can catch her tonight (April 11) on SNL.
