Scottie Pippen Sues Media Outlets for Libel
Calling Scottie Pippen broke could get you served. The NBA hall-of-famer filed a $10 million lawsuit for "malicious libel" against several media outlets who made claims Pippen had gone bankrupt. The suit was filed Tuesday in federal court.
According to ChicagoBusiness.com, the suit charges the ten defendants — including CBS Corp, CNBC and Comcast — with negligence and defamation for reporting that Pippen is broke and lost his fortune on a bungled corporate jet deal.
Pippen is hoping to walk away with at least $1 million from each defendant ... but it's not like he needs the money, right?
