Saweetie Transforms Into Red-Haired Vixen For #TapIn Beauty Challenge
Saweetie has carved out her own lane in rap with confident, braggadocious, girl power anthems such as “Icy Grl,” “High Maintenance,” and “My Type.”
Earlier this month, the Bay Area native dropped off her latest mixtape, Pretty B**tch Music, with the lead single, “Tap In,” which samples Too $hort’s 2006 classic, “Blow the Whistle.”
For her latest release, Saweetie wants to see how her fans tap into their inner baddie. The 27-year-old took to Instagram this past weekend where she unveiled her “Tap In” beauty challenge before her 6.4 million social followers. For the challenge, the Icy rapper posted a hilarious video guiding fans on how to execute the challenge.
In the video, she begins by dancing along to her single, “Tap In” while rocking a hilarious disguise, complete with oversized buck teeth and bushy eyebrows. She then tapped the camera with a makeup brush three times, at which she transformed into a much prettier version of herself complete with a red wig and full face beat.
“TAP IN CHALLENGE *BEAUTY* ‼️” Saweetie announced in the post’s caption. To be considered, all fans have to do is upload a video of themselves. A winner will be chosen based on whoever can pull off the best reenactment of her challenge. The rapper further teased there’s a “huge prize” in store, including products from her baby hair line collection, her signature candle, and a “BIG CARE PACKAGE of Saweetie’s fave products from Sephora.”
