Tekashi 6ix9ine Returned To Social Media With This Comment
As of Friday (March 3), Brooklyn rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine is partially a free man after a judge ruled in his favor for an early release from behind bars and into house arrest. However, with less than a full 72 hours out of prison, he's left many folks wondering after a comment from his Instagram account was left on Instagram's celebrity gossip hub The Shade Room on Sunday (April 5).
The comment in question read, “Coming to the rescue,” on a post from The Shade Room regarding the Los Angeles mayor offering rewards for people who snitch on businesses that break the city’s shelter-in-place rule.
If you'll recall, a judge have Tekashi a lenient sentence for his cooperating in the federal case against members of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods gang. Tekashi was previously facing a mandatory minimum of 37 years in prison for crimes that included orchestrating a shooting in which an innocent bystander was wounded, according to CBS News.
Despite being sentenced to two years in federal incarceration, he was released on Thursday (April 3) amid the coronavirus pandemic, which his defense counsel cited as means for his immediate release onto house arrest given his pre-existing asthma condition.
