Yikes: Ashanti’s Concert Was Reportedly Canceled After Devastatingly Low Ticket Sales
Ashanti’s had one hellova musical career, however kids these days may not remember how much she dominated.
The former Murda Ink songstress recently scheduled a show at Stony Brook University for their “Back to the Brook” concert, and uh, it was crickets when it came to sales.
According to Bossip, the university released a statement explaining that the show was cancelled due to “low ticket sales.”
“As an organization, we do our best to host programs for students while providing diversity and inclusion,” they relayed. “However, we have struggled to execute certain aspects. With only a week before the concert, only 24 tickets were sold to students.”
Teyana Taylor was the original headliner of the event, but she reportedly pulled out two weeks prior to the event, so it gave little time for the university to promote Ashanti as the headliner.
Sounds like it isn’t Ashanti’s problem or fault. It was also her birthday recently so she ain’t worried.
