Music Stars React To Houston's Hurricane Harvey
In what’s being dubbed the worst natural disaster Texas has ever seen, Hurricane Harvey has resulted in up to five fatalities, citywide damage of astronomical proportions and frightening levels of flooding of the state’s most heavily populated city of Houston.
The storm is now estimated to reach up to 50 inches of potential flooding, which would also record it as one of the worst flood catastrophes in the nation’s history. As social media users from all over the U.S. and citizens suffering the storm provide updates and share relief resources, music celebrities have also stepped forth to send prayers and help to the residents of Houston. From H-Town natives like Beyoncé and Travis Scott to artists that come from Texas’s southerly neighboring states like T.I., the hope is high for the passing of Hurricane Harvey and the physical, mental and emotional recovery of all those who call Houston their home.
