As Wale gets ready to re-enter the rap game, the Washington, D.C., native is making it clear that he's not the same artist he used to be.

Now that he has become a father, this next chapter in his life is proving to result in some of his best music to date — at least it is as far as he is concerned.

Taking to Twitter, the rapper shared that his fifth full-length studio album is slated for a May 5 release.

The album, titled SHiNE, is full of guest features, including the love of his life, his 8-month-old daughter, Zyla.

His baby girl will also be joined on the 14-track album by Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Travis Scott, Major Lazer, G-Eazy and more.

"Thank you 4your patience," Wale posted on Twitter along with the album's strikingly powerful artwork. "A lot has changed since last album. I pray that 5/5 is the second best day of my life. #SHiNE"
