Chance the Rapper Made a Surprise Visit at an Elementary School's Career Day in Chicago
Earlier this month, Chance the Rapper pledged a donation of a million dollars to Chicago's public school system.
As the rapper continues to advocate on behalf of the youth in his hometown, he is doing much more than only letting his generous donation do the talking for him. As reported, Chance recently stopped by a local elementary school to spread a little joy and inspire the lucky students to pursue their dreams.
As reported, the rapper surprised students yesterday afternoon (March 24), popping by a classroom at Chicago's Courtenay Elementary school.
At the time, the school was playing host to a series of guest speakers during a career fair. Chance made a surprise visit attending as a guest of one of the scheduled speakers and even took advantage of an opportunity to talk to the kids himself.
"He inspired us to try to make our dreams come true," 12-year-old Ethan Nguyen shared with a local news station. "It was exciting."
Needless to say, the unannounced visit from someone like Chance the Rapper went over a heck of a lot better with students than a surprise pop quiz would have.
