Beyoncé and Jay Z May Have Won Hillary Clinton the Election
Beyoncé just gave Hillary Clinton a much-needed November surprise.
The pop icon, along with her husband Jay Z, gave the Democratic candidate a ringing endorsement for president on stage at a Cleveland rally, moments after performing a "Formation" and "Freedom" and encouraging fans to get out the vote.
"Less than 100 years ago, women did not have the right to vote. Look how far we’ve come. I want my daughter to grow up seeing a woman lead this country and that's why I'm with her," Bey said to the crowd. It's no accident that she was wearing a pant suit at the time, as did her backup dancers, who also had on "I'm With Her" t-shirts underneath.
The move couldn't have come at a better time, when Hillary is struggling to get Millennial and Black voters to the polls in the volume she needs to hold off Donald Trump.
Though it's pretty obvious that Bey votes blue, she hasn't offered an official endorsement for Clinton until now. However, as a result of locking hands with Clinton just four days before the election, and when early voting is already taking place, Beyoncé seems to have literally whipped her hive into formation and — we can hope — to the polls.
Looks like the Carters' close ties with the White House will continue into the next administration.
