Beyoncé’s Mom Has A Question For ‘Blue Checkmarks’ Coming After Jay-Z Over His NFL Deal
Jay-Z sparked a huge debate on social media recently following the announcement that he and the NFL would be partnering, both for advisory on music at the Super Bowl and in an effort to spread “social justice” awareness to league executives.
Some said the deal would be good for the progress of the NFL and could change how the league treats its players. Others accused Hov of “selling out” and trying to profit off of the movement Colin Kaepernick began three years ago.
Now, a member of Jay-Z’s family is coming to his defense. Tina Lawson, Beyoncé’s mother and Jay’s mother-in-law, agreed with the notion that everyone criticizing the rapper and businessman doesn’t have the resume to be a critic of his work.
Documentarian and political activist Michael Moore recently posed the statement and question: “Meanwhile Jay Z been sending millions of cases of water to Flint and not even saying a word about it. What have these Twitter woke bluechemarks done?”
Lawson reposted the quote on her Instagram page with the caption: “Repost: good question.”
Whew! Well at least we know where she stands.
