Benzino Blames His Recent Drug Charges On Racism
Former Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star Benzino is currently in the midst of a nasty case stemming from some serious drug charges he is facing.
Recently, the ex-reality star spoke out about the scandal, which may see him face up to 15 years in prison, and he is crying racism.
As previously reported, the police busted him in Cobb County, Georgia, back in January 2017 and slapped him with a slew of charges including felony possession of THC oil gummies, felony possession of six MDMA pills and misdemeanor possession of less than one ounce of weed.
Speaking with TMZ, he shared that he will be fighting those charges, which he claims were trumped up from Cobb County, which, according to him, is "one of the most racist counties, not just in Georgia, but in America."
He went on to add that he remains adamant that the cops had no jurisdiction to raid his penthouse, despite a judge ruling that the police were legally allowed to do so with an issued search warrant.
Benzino maintained, though, that he is not budging and is not interested in any plea deals. In fact, he stressed that after he gets his day in court, he plans on seeking revenge — in the legal sense.
