Taraji P. Henson appeared to be hinting for a couple years that she would retire Cookie Lyon after four seasons. Why? Because after four seasons is when a show goes into syndication and the real checks start rolling in. 

Now, Taraji is clearing up these reports. She told Extra, "I don't know what this rumor is that I'm done after episode four… I have bills to pay… I love Chanel too much to walk away from a hit show. Are ya'll stupid?” Then, she looked into the camera and asked, “Who is spreading that? Who walks away from that money?" Okay! Ain't nothing going on but the rent! Watch the interview below:

Looks like we have Taraji many more seasons on Empire. The new season premieres tonight on Fox at 8/7c.
