District Attorney Picks a Side in Russell Crowe, Azealia Banks Beef

The rapper accused the actor of a racist assault.

A couple of months ago, Azealia Banks accused Hollywood actor Russell Crowe of making a racist attack on her after the two got into some kind of fight during a party in his hotel room. Despite the many witnesses — including RZA, who invited her to the party — who pledged that Banks is the one that got aggressive and Crowe was just trying to diffuse the situation, Banks maintained her story that she was the victim of assault and racism and pressed charges.
Well, the Los Angeles County District Attorney has finally decided whether to move forward with the charges and the decision may spark a fresh Facebook rant from the femcee.

According to TMZ, the D.A. has decided not to pursue the case, saying several eyewitnesses backed up Crowe's story that it was Banks, not Crowe, that instigated the incident and used the racial epithet and that Crowe was well within his right to evict her from the room.
The witnesses say that Azealia picked up a glass and threatened to use it to cut the throat of another guest. The rapper, however, filed a police report claiming Russell choked her, called her the n-word and spit on her as he removed her from the suite.

The D.A. concluded that Russell physically removing her was "justified to prevent the imminent violence threatened by Banks." Apparently, Crowe admitted to the spitting, but the D.A. says it was "incidental to preventing more serious threatened violence."
