To this day, fans still can't stand the sight of Charles (Steve Harris), the no-good husband who gave his loyal wife, Helen (Kimberly Elise), the boot for his trifling mistress. White, Lamman Rucker and Tyler Perry himself, Why Did I Get Married? left fans with one-liners and slick comebacks for days for their beloved (or not so beloved) partners and exes. The film was also one of Perry's firsts where we got to see the famed producer and actor playing a role other than that of Madea. In Why Did I Get Married?, Tyler Perry plays Terry, the devoted doctor and husband to Diane (Sharon Leal).

Just because they're in your bloodline doesn't mean they won't cross the line. Perry's 2008 The Family That Preys stars both Taraji P. Henson and Sanaa Lathan playing polar-opposite daughters to on-screen mom Alfre Woodward. Woodward, who plays Alice Reynolds, is best friends with well-to-do socialite Charlotte Cartwright, played by the bold (and the bomb) Kathy Bates.

This intense 2013 drama and romance stars married couple Judith and Bryce (played by Jurnee Smollet-Bell and Lance Gross, respectively), who encounter marital woes when the ultra conservative Judith engages in an intense love affair with her employer. Idris Elba as a single father to three beautiful young girls? Yes, please. Daddy's Little Girls (2013) is a heartwarming drama and about a struggling mechanic and dad, Monty (Elba), who enlists the help of attorney Julia Rossmore (Gabrielle Union) to help gain full custody of his daughters from their drug-dealing mother.

When it's not about single dads, it's all about the single moms thugging it out together in the hardest of 'hoods -- motherhood. This 2014 dramedy from Tyler Perry stars five struggling mothers, played by actresses Nia Long, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Amy Smart, Zulay Henao and Cocoa Brown, who put their differences aside to form a support group -- and sisterhood of sorts -- to help each other overcome the hardships that come with parenthood.

This romantic comedy stars some recurring Tyler Perry movie faves, including Thandie Newton, Gabrielle Union and Perry himself. Wesley Deeds (Perry) finds himself in quite the love triangle between his fiancé, Natalie (Union), and employee, Lindsey (Newton), who plays a single mother and cleaner for Deeds' company.

Perry's 2018 comedy Nobody's Fool stars comedic actress Tiffany Haddish playing alongside Tika Sumpter as the pair make for the perfect polar-opposite siblings. Fresh from serving a five-year stint in prison, Tanya (Haddish) is taken in by sister Danica (Sumpter) for a whirlwind adventure that includes Tanya tracking down Danica's "catfish" internet-bae.

I Can Do Bad All by Myself is a 2009 comedy and drama by Perry, starring Taraji P. Henson. In the film, Perry reprises his role as Madea, who, along with brother Joe (also played by Perry), catches three children breaking into their home. Instead of turning them in to the police, Madea helps the parentless kids track down their only known relative, their night-club singing, boozy aunt, April (Henson).

A beautiful adaptation of Ntozake Shange's 1975 chorepoem of the same name, Perry's A-list packed cast stars everyone from Loretta Devine, Whoopi Goldberg, Phylicia Rashad, Janet Jackson, to Thandie Newton, Tessa Thompson, Kerry Washington, Anika Noni Rose, Kimberly Elise and many other recurring Perry-film actors.

However, one thing we cannot and will not forget is that Beau (Michael Ealy) dropped them babies from the balcony! Nearly a decade later, and we still haven't forgiven him!
