Chief Keef Has Reportedly Been Released on $500,000 Bail
As previously reported, Chief Keef was arrested this past week for allegedly assaulting his former producer, Ramsey Tha Great.
According to the latest update, the rapper has since been released after posting his own bail of $500,000.
According to the records of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Chief Keef was released last night (Jan. 27) at 9:33pm.
The Chicago rapper is being accused of attacking Ramsey, who recently took to Instagram to detail his side of the story and display the brutal injuries he suffered as a result of the alleged incident.
"It was a violent home invasion involving firearms being pointed at victims," LAPD Capt. Brian Pratt shared with NBC following making the arrest. "The detectives did some really great follow up investigation. Witnesses came forward and identified who our suspects were. We knew who we were going after – we weren’t just shooting in the dark."
Naturally, people have been taking sides, with some calling Ramsey a snitch for going public and notifying police of what had happened, while others are sounding off on Chief Keef for going after Ramsey in the manner he did in the first place.
Ramsey recently addressed the backlash he has been receiving since posting about the incident on his Instagram, stating, "Y'all can say [I'm] a rat or whatever man, but hey man, I'll see you in court."
According to XXL, Keef is set to appear in court next on Feb. 24. regarding this recent arrest. More on this story as it develops.
