Wanda Sykes, Regina Hall And Amy Schumer To Host This Year’s Oscars
The 94th Oscars will be hosted by Wanda Sykes, Regina Hall and Amy Schumer, and comedy will certainly be interjected into their presentations, segways and more.
This will be the first Oscars hosting for all three performers and the first time three women have emceed the Academy Awards, which broadcasts like on ABC on March 27.
"Imagine having one of the funniest women in comedy today hosting the Oscars... Now, multiply that by three," Craig Erwich, president of Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment said in a statement, according to NPR.
"I know the fun Regina, Amy and Wanda will be having will translate to our audience as well," said show producer Will Packer. "Many surprises in store! Expect the unexpected!"
The Oscars haven’t had a host for the past three years, however the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is making up for it this year.
Jimmy Kimmel was the last person to host The Oscars. Comedian Kevin Hart was slated to host the ceremony in 2019, but he withdrew when his past homophobic Twitter posts and jokes began circulating on social media.
