LMAO: Nicki Minaj Got Cursed Out By A Rapper Over This Song On Her New Album
Upon the release of her Queen album, Nicki Minaj dropped the sharp-edged “Barbie Dreams” track and took a bunch of jaws with it after fans heard all four minutes and 40 seconds of the shocking, hilariously scandalous bars aimed at several Hollywood industry men.
The Young Money rapstress sat down with late-night television host Stephen Colbert to chat about all things Queen, including the album art work, the bars, and the explosive “Barbie Dreams” track that blew Twitter to queendom come. Nicki’s already explained that the track was inspired by the late New York legend Notorious B.I.G.’s original “Dreams” record, which also jokingly trolled the biggest names of Hollywood during his era. Not to mention, the record’s not intended to be taken seriously, but as fun wordplay for some of her industry friends who she knows can take a joke.
Two men who Nicki laid bars on for the track didn’t quite get that memo, and they pulled up on the head Barb’s cell phone with some choice words that left her doubled over in laughter.

Nicki and the creative duo behind her Queen visuals, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, drew inspiration from a warfare goddess. They built and built on that image, and ta-da! The Queen artwork was born.

In short, Nicki goes down the list of guys who could never make it to the bedroom with her, and the hilarious reasons why. 50 Cent, Drake, Meek Mill, Young Thug, Odell Beckham Jr. are among her targets, to name a few. Colbert couldn’t help but notice that he didn’t make the list, so Nicki dropped some quick bars on him that sent him toppling over his desk in laughter and blushing pink.
Eventually, he asks whether anyone got upset with her about the song, and the Queens-bred femcee spills it all…well, almost.
“I did get a call from one person—I’m not gonna say who…” Nicki revealed
Immediately, Colbert blurted out out that it was Drake, but Nicki denied it. There were actually two people wo approached her, but she swore to her own secrecy that she wouldn’t reveal their names.
“Only one person so far got a little irritated, but then I explained to him how much I love him and he understands now,” she said. And then one person, he was just laughing.” The second person aired his “mix between cursing [her] out and laughing at it” via text message. Nicki had a quick fix, thoug.
“But I just kept putting the crying face emoji to make things not as bad,” she said with a laugh. Fortunately for her, her objective to pacify him with the passive emoji responses was successful.

Elsewhere in the interview, Nicki dropped a few political gems…
This was triggered about a question on big butts from Colbert, which Nicki shared her theory on. “Anytime a white person gets a pass that they can be invited to the cookout, that means they probably like big butts,” she said of favorite cookout guest and Vice President of the Obama administration, Joe Biden. She pointed out that his cookout invite is permanent because of his loyalty to President Barack Obama and how well they worked together. He’s also pretty genuine, Nicki added, and “genuine men like big butts,” she’s discovered.
Afterward the two played role-swap with Colbert as he helped him spit some bars from her Queen single, “LLC,” before sharing a joke about Donald Trump worthy of a standing ovation.
They don’t call her Nicki Lewinski for nothing, folks.
