Tory Lanez's Request to Live with Son and Wife Denied
Tory Lanez will remain behind bars for his connection in the shooting case of Megan Thee Stallion following a hearing on Thursday (Sept. 14).
According to ABC station in Los Angeles, KABC, who was in the courtroom, a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge denied the “Say It” emcee’s request for bond as his new legal team appealed his decade-long sentencing.

The Canadian native, known by his real name, Daystar Peterson, had requested to reside with his wife and son during legal proceedings. However, a judge considered Lanez's charges' violent nature, his past history of violating court orders, and his non-citizen status as grounds for the rejection.
Lanez is currently represented by Unite the People Inc., a social justice advocacy group, with Crystal Morgan serving as lead attorney.
CEO and co-founder of Unite the People Inc., Ceasar McDowell, told reporters following the hearing that his client was "disproportionately sentenced" and that they would be moving forward with the appeal.
On December 23, 2022, Lanez was found guilty of three felony charges, including assault with a semiautomatic handgun, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. He has since maintained his innocence in social media posts.
