Alec Baldwin As Trump On 'SNL' Says He's Got A Retaliation For Eminem's BET Freestyle Cypher
One of the best tools for getting under Donald Trump’s skin so far during his presidency has been Alec Baldwin’s impressions of him for Saturday Night Live.
SNL returned in September for their 43rd season and Baldwin returned as Trump. For Saturday’s (October 14) edition of the show’s cold open, Baldwin covered the president’s recent blunder in Puerto Rico, players kneeling during the national anthem, and reports that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson called him a “moron.”
The sketch opens with Trump at a rally in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He subsequently makes a call to Vice President Mike Pence and tells him to leave the game if any players were kneeling, which reflected, in-part, what played out in real life last Sunday.
At the end of the skit, Baldwin as Trump addressed Eminem’s diss of him during his BET Cypher Freestyle. He even said he’d issue his own diss, which he commically claimed would be available for viewing on the White Entertainment Network, HGTV.
“Eminem apparently did a freestyle rap on the BET network the other day,” he said. “He said some very nasty things about me. And very soon I am going to release a response rap on the White Entertainment Network – HGTV. So watch your back, Eminem.”
