These Rappers Are About to Become 'Simpsons' Characters
Throughout the course of The Simpsons' 26-year-long history, many celebrities, including rappers, have been animated and woven into the show's hilarious plot alongside its celebrated cast of original characters.
As reported, a new batch of rappers have been slated to get Simpsons-ized and will appear in an hour long special titled "The Great Phatsby." For the episode paying homage to F. Scott Fitzgerald's infamous novel, RZA, Snoop Dogg and Common have all been recruited to tell a story inspired by The Great Gatsby.
In addition to having cameos on the critically acclaimed series, the producer behind the hit show Empire also will create original rap songs for the special. Taraji P. Henson and Keegan-Michael Key are also reported to appear alongside the aforementioned rappers as well.
Sounds like the making of an incredible TV special, a first of its kind for the animated series. The episode is slated to air sometime in January.
