White DoorDash Driver Fired After Being Caught On Camera Calling Black Customer The N-Word
A racist DoorDash delivery driver was fired after calling a Black customer a racial slur.
Surveillance footage from a home doorbell camera in Nashville showed the white DoorDash delivery driver using the N-word while delivering food to the customer.
The now-viral video was posted to TikTok last week by Christina Derrica, who goes by @ChristinaTheeDemo on the social platform. She demanded that DoorDash should fire the guy. “Here’s your food, ni**er!” an unidentified person said after setting the food down on her front porch. “Chow down, ni**er!” the man could be heard saying as he walked off.
“Did he not see my Ring camera?” the woman captioned the 15-second clip, which gained over 3.3 million views. “Fire him IMMEDIATELY, HELLO.”
Fast forward to this past weekend, Derrica shared an email that she received from DoorDash's Community Response team. A spokesperson revealed they had investigated the incident before hiring the delivery guy. “Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please know that the type of behavior you described has no place on the DoorDash platform, or anywhere else, and is a violation of our safety policies,” the document stated.
