Bio: Joe Watkins
Joe Watkins is a former U.S. Senate staffer and also a former White
House aide to President George H. W. Bush (41). A former co-host of
CNN's “Crossfire,” he is currently a political commentator and MSNBC
political analyst.
Watkins is a former managing director and equity partner in a BE 100
asset management firm. He is currently the chairman of Students First
(www.studentsfirstpac.com), a school choice organization.
Watkins won a scholarship to Middlesex School and the University of
Pennsylvania where he played basketball, ran track and was also a
Dean's List student. He received his master's degree from Princeton
Theological Seminary.
Watkins and his wife have three children, a son-in-law and two grandchildren.
He has served the people of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in
North Philadelphia as pastor since 1998.
