Breaking: R. Kelly Taken Back Into Police Custody
Charged sexual predator R. Kelly, who was released on bond from 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse, is now back behind bars on Wednesday (March 7) on child support charges, according to Chicago Tribune.
The site reports that the hearing lasted for over an hour before he was escorted away by sheriff’s deputies of Chicago’s Cook County. Judge Lori Rosen reportedly ordered the arrest for over $161,000 in child support (and interest), which she warned back in a February hearing would result in jail time if he didn’t pay up. “He’s in our custody,” Chicago Tribune reports of sheriff’s office spokeswoman Sophia Ansari’s statement.
Thus far, not many more details on the arrest are released just yet despite the media frenzy that burst into chaos outside of the courthouse before he appeared for the trial. A video showed Kelly and his team struggling through a crowd as the shamed R&B singer wore dark shades and an umbrella to shelter him through the horde of photographers and reporters.
And after confirmation from the sheriff's office...
Twitter is rejoicing in the name of yet another R. Kelly arrest:
