Jaden Smith Releases Three New Tracks
Jaden Smith's foray into rap continues with some new music that technically counts as old music.
The latest from the 16-year-old are three songs from a year ago. He debuted the trio of tracks, which are a collaboration with producer Ta-Ku, on Twitter this morning (Feb. 23) explaining, “I Recorded These Songs When I Was 15."

The youngest male of the Smith family gives us more impeccable writing and rhyming here. He eases in and out of lyrical ear-benders with a little cockiness (“The rumor says I'm chillin’ wit’ your girl, don’t make me make it true," he raps on one track) and moments of candor, “No I don't like people, I’m too selfish and nervous/ But people say, 'J you’re the coolest', you can’t tell on the surface.”
With all the new content, the rapper/actor is not-so-quietly honing his lyrical craft and getting so good at it that any residual comparisons to his dad shouldn’t be in the discussion at this point.
Jaden is in his own lane.
