Is a Dwyane Wade and LeBron James reunion on the way?

After agreeing to a contract buyout with the Chicago Bulls on Sunday, D. Wade is reportedly close to signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers, as reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Wade is expected to clear waivers tomorrow to become an unrestricted free agent.

At 35, Wade can sign a one-year contract with the Cavs worth $2.3 million under the veterans minimum, as reported by ESPN. He had reportedly considered the San Antonio Spurs, Oklahoma City Thunder, which added Paul George and Carmelo Anthony, or a return to the Miami Heat, before honing in on the Cavs.

Of course, besides being great friends, Wade and James teamed up to win back-to-back league championships with the Heat from 2012-13, leading the franchise to four straight Finals appearances from 2011-14 before LeBron left that summer to return to The Land, leading the Cavs to three straight Finals, including a 2016 title.

During a Christmas Day game in 2014, when LeBron returned to Miami to face Wade's Heat, he could be heard telling his baller bestie something that fans interpreted as "we're gonna reunite again and do some bigger and better things, alright?"

King James and D. Wade are each three-time champions. Wade averaged 18.3 points for the Bulls last season, his lowest output since his rookie 2003-04 season.
