Lindsay Lohan May Swap Misdemeanor Plea
In a new turn of events, Lindsay Lohan is reportedly planning to plead no contest to a misdemeanor theft charge to which she originally pleaded not guilty. The charge stems from an alleged jewelry theft on January 22.
Lohan and her lawyer Shawn Holley are reportedly planning to reappear before Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner soon to enter the new plea, according to TMZ.
Recently, the troubled actress was sentenced to 120 days behind bars by Judge Sautner for violating her probation by allegedly stealing a piece of designer jewelry. Lohan was also ordered to serve over 400 hours of community service, according to ABC News, 300 of which must be fulfilled at a women's center.
The young actress hopes that with the new plea, Judge Sautner will not add any more time to her current sentence.
