CJ Hilton: "So Fresh" in the Game \r \r
BET Music Matters artist CJ Hilton appeared on 106 and Park yesterday (August 30) to debut the video for his Nas-assisted track "So Fresh."
The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, who has worked with mentor Raphael Saadiq as well as Stevie Wonder in the past, talked to BET.com about why music matters to him.
"Music matters to me because it's my life," said CJ. "It's what I love to do and I've been in music pretty much my whole life. So basically it's me. Music is me."
"For young people, music should matter to them because music is a different language," he explains. "So I feel like there are so many different parts of the world but everybody can relate to music so it's something young people should learn."
During the show, special guest co-host LeToya Luckett praised Hilton for his work ethic and talent.
The Baltimore native's upcoming debut album, Cold Summer, is due this December.
