Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon Perform "History of Rap 3"

The Roots backed up the duo's performance.

Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon are at it again. During Timberlake's appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Friday, the two jumped right into a follow-up to their hit rap series. The third installment of "History of Rap" had the two blazing through new and old-school tracks from the Fugees, OutKast, Snoop Dogg, Kanye West, Coolio, Ice Cube, and others. They even treated the audience to a bit of Sir Mix-A-Lot's "Baby Got Back" and Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass" before guiding the crowd through "Hip Hop Hooray" by Naughty by Nature. Fallon's house band The Roots backed up the duo, flowing from one beat to the next seamlessly.

Timberlake and Fallon first performed "History of Rap" in September 2010 and included hits from The Sugarhill Gang, Missy Elliot, Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G., and Soulja Boy. In "History of Rap 2," which aired this past July, the two rapped along to Cali Swag District's "Teach Me How to Dougie," Lil Wayne's "A Milli," Rick Ross' "B.M.F.," and 50 Cent's "In Da Club."
