The Mac Dre documentary Mac Dre: Legend of the Bay was recently released but during its creation it stalled at one point due to the heavy mourning experienced by Dre’s family.

Even more recently “Mac Wanda” Salvatto, Mac Dre’s mother, revealed during an interview that she had spoken with Drake about doing the documentary. It was something he urged get done in order to further honor her son’s legacy.

Several days after Salvatto’s interview was published the Toronto native made an Instagram post with a picture of a story about his meeting with Mac Wanda and confirmed in the caption that he had indeed met her in San Francisco.
