Bow Wow Delays Release of Underrated
Bow Wow has grown frustrated with the status of his much-delayed seventh solo album, Underrated. The Young Money MC took to Twitter last night [August 15] to announce that he will put the album on hold and focus his energy on touring.
"Im tryna stay focused but its like at this point "F--- that album" & F--- a release date," tweeted the former So So Def MC. "Im doin shows," he continued, saying he’ll focus his energies on touring. He went on to explain that performing on the road is feeding his family better than record sales could anyway.
But the 25-year-old MC’s outburst did suggest unhappiness with his current label situation. "Doing everything on my own," tweeted Bow Wow, who signed to Cash Money records in 2009 but hasn’t released an official album since 2008’s New Jack City II. "No help from nobody. Going to radio dolo going to da clubs f---- wit dj's dolo. So when i win im thankn myself."
Past reports had Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes and Talib Kweli slated to appear on the project. When dissapointed fans on Twitter questioned the decision to put the project on ice, Bow Wow confessed in a tweet, "Just not motivated for an 'album' right now thats all."
