Chris Brown is back in his home state of Virginia, but not necessarily under the best circumstances.

After five days of travel in the custody of U.S. Marshals, Breezy made it to the Northern Neck Regional Jail in Warsaw, Va., Monday (April 7), where he will stay until the start of his misdemeanor assault trial in Washington, D.C., later this month.

The facility is roughly two hours from D.C. and comes with a lot less restrictions than his previous digs at the Los Angeles County Jail. There, Brown was placed on 23-hour lockdown and only allowed to shower every 48 hours.

According to TMZ, Brown is now in "limited general population" at the new facility, allotting him access to a library, telephone, TV, exercise equipment, cafeteria meals and regular showers. 

Brown was thrown behind bars in mid-March after he got kicked out of a Southern California rehab. His lawyer, Mark Geragos, has been unsuccessful in getting the D.C. case dismissed. 

The Grammy winner is still on probation for assaulting Rihanna and is facing even more jail time depending on the outcome in D.C. The trial stems from an alleged assault on a man last October in which Brown and his bodyguard Christopher Hollosy were both arrested and charged for the incident. They will be tried separately.  

Brown will go to trial on April 19 or April 21, after his bodyguard.
