There’s never a dull moment on “Huse of Payne,” especially for Malik, Lisa, Calvin, Laura, and Jazmine. Their holiday gatherings are probably just as colorful as their personalities, but can you imagine what happens when a family brings the drama? Here are a few scenarios that could play out and cause chaos at the Payn family gatherings this season. 

Jazmine Drops Out  

Jazmine is the most free-spirited Payne. She’s a smart young woman who has a lot going for her, and the one thing that all her elders want her to do is graduate from college. There was a moment when she almost freaked her pops out by announcing that she wanted to drop out so that she could focus on a career as an influencer. CJ got her to commit to returning to school and doing that first. However, we know how Jazmine is. Wouldn’t it be just the type of House of Payne drama we’re used to if she announces that she dropped out for real, for real, this time while spending time with family during the holidays? 

Calvin Calls It Quits 

Calvin and Laura are in denial about the fact that their relationship is hanging on by a thread. They’re both having doubts, and Laura already quit on Calvin once, but now Calvin is starting to wonder if he’s doing the right thing. It would be the perfect holiday sucker punch for Calvin to act on his ambivalence by deciding that maybe they should call the whole thing off. 

Laura Announces Pregnancy 

Laura isn’t pregnant, at least not for now. But imagine her announcing a pregnancy in the middle of holiday fun. This would cause Calvin to be angry because we know how he is. The sheer thought of having another mouth to feed would have him very close to a meltdown. 

Malik And Lisa Expecting 

Malik and Lisa are another couple that needs to get it together. They are still navigating new parenthood with Malisa, but they also live with Malik’s parents and are figuring out work and finances for themselves. Another baby would be a lot for them and received with some level of panic that would probably make for a good storyline.  

Ella And Curtis Fall Out

Ella and Curtis are usually everyone’s voices of reason, and we never really see them argue. But imagine a tiff between them, so bad that the relatives they usually council must jump in and mediate.
