How are you spending the holidays?

Headed back to South Carolina with my family! Then my husband and I are taking the kids to Singapore and Bali to bring in the new year. The holidays are the only time of year when everyone in the family is off, so it's always when we take our big vacation.

What’s a holiday memory you cherish from childhood?

My favorite memories from childhood that I still cherish to this day is being at my grandmother's house with ALL of my cousins on Christmas Eve.  We did a gift exchange and could trade gifts depending on the number you picked, ultimately someone would end up with a gift they didn't want. The energy was high and it was very loud! We laughed, we ate, we sang, and someone usually ended up in tears (which we had a song for too.)

What is one gift you hope to receive this year? And one you plan on giving?

I really hope I get this cool mattress steamer that cleans all the bacteria, I saw it on Instagram and subtly sent it to my husband.  I plan on giving my kids new tablets.  Times of toys in our house are over, sadly.

How are you spending the holidays?

Life gets so busy that the quiet and good energy around this time of year have become precious; so I celebrate with family, keeping it as low key as possible. But this year, we might travel.

What’s a holiday memory you cherish from childhood?

Oh, as a child, it was about the gifts! Lol. I remember being at my grandma's and getting a Barbie dream house from my dad. I was ecstatic. I loved playing with dolls. Any accessories I could get were great, but the Dream House!? That was huge.

What is one gift you hope to receive this year? 

I can't think of anything material. I've spent a lot of time working this year. So, quality time with family and friends would be soul fulfilling. That'd be the greatest gift. 

And one you plan on giving?

Plane tickets to a preferred destination!

Quality time with my fiancé & our families.

What’s a holiday memory you cherish from childhood?

I’ll always remember the excitement of Christmas mornings—waking up to the smell of pancakes and hot apple cider, then spending the morning laughing and playing with my sisters. It was all about the simple joy of being together.

What is one gift you hope to receive this year? And one you plan on giving?

This holiday season, I’ll be giving my son a Liverpool jersey because he’s absolutely obsessed with Mo Salah—it’s always a joy to see his face light up with excitement. In addition to that, I’m making a donation to Meymuna Hussein-Cattan, the founder of The Tiyya Foundation, which does incredible work supporting refugees, immigrants, and marginalized communities. For me, the greatest gift is spending meaningful time with my family, creating memories together, and contributing in a small way to make a difference for others.

What’s a holiday memory you cherish from childhood?

Planning on spending the holidays hopping around the U.S. from Chicago, LA, to NYC seeing my family.  But mostly excited to get back to sunny California see my daughter Layla and dog Jackson and go to the beach.

What is one gift you hope to receive this year? And one you plan on giving?

 I hope to receive the gift of peace amongst all the planning and shopping! Just having my daughter by my side with all the matriarchs together in celebration.

Excited to give my grandma a spa treatment that she has long been waiting for!

How are you spending the holidays? 

On the beach someplace warm. My eggnog will be a piña colada! 

What’s a holiday memory you cherish from childhood? 

One of my most cherished childhood memories at Christmas time is road-tripping from Arizona to Florida to see my grandmothers. This was our tradition. We would play Christmas music that is still my Christmas soundtrack to this day!  “In my mind…”

What is one gift you hope to receive this year? And one you plan on giving? 

Last year my family and I decided not to exchange gifts and we’ll do the same this year. It actually felt really nice to not lean into the consumerism of the season and focus on quality time and creating memories together.  But if someone wants to gift a sista I’m always down for a free luxury vacation! 

When I think of the holidays, I think of family, generosity and spending time with my community.

 I'm looking forward to spending the holidays with my son and the rest of my family.

One of my favorite holiday memories happened when I was 12 and my dad and mom got married on Christmas Day.

What is one gift you hope to receive this year? And one you plan on giving? 

I want a diamond chain for Christmas, and I'm gonna give my momma a watch or a purse. 

How are you spending the holidays? 

Since I work in Sports, the holidays are usually spent on a football field or in a studio. My assignment this year lands a few days before Christsmas, so I'll be able to go home to be with my family for the first time in a long time. 

What’s a holiday memory you cherish from childhood? 

My favorite childhood holiday memory has to be our family Noche Buena (Christmas Eve) party. It was the one time of year where family from all across the country and the Caribbean gathered at my godmother's house for a full out bash. It was so popular that even after I moved away from home, my friends would go to the party without me! 

What is one gift you hope to receive this year? And one you plan on giving?  

The one gift I hope I receive is a furry sibling for my dog, Gunny. My husband is cringing as I write this. I love watching people as they open my gifts (usually via facetime) so in order to keep the surprise going, I rather not say. 

How are you spending the holidays?

I’ll be spending the holidays with family and friends while watching some of my favorite holiday movies. 

What’s a holiday memory you cherish from childhood?

I cherish all of my childhood holiday memories. My family always had a special spirit around the holiday season and we celebrated to the fullest. I used to love watching them decorate, we always had the best Christmas tree. My grandfather made sure of it. 

What is one gift you hope to receive this year? And one you plan on giving?

I’m grateful for everything I have, so I don’t ever really expect anything. But I would like to just spread joy, love and cheer. That’s always needed, and I appreciate the positive energy I receive from my loved ones. So, l like to make sure I reciprocate and spread holiday cheer to them as well.

How are you spending the holidays?
I’m spending my holidays with family & friends. I'll be eating my grandmother's home cooked soul food and watching NBA on Christmas. I want to be at home with the people I love the most.

What’s a holiday memory you cherish from childhood?
I remember being in trouble one year for Christmas so my mom bought me sheets, socks and boxers. Ha. That was a memorable Christmas.

I plan on receiving a pair of Louis V timbs with a matching beanie and I’m giving my siblings whatever they ask for. Per usual haha

How are you spending the holidays?

I'm spending the holidays with my parents and older brother. This year we are taking a trip up to San Francisco. The Golden State Warriors are my favorite basketball team so we’re going up north to watch them play on Christmas

I loved decorating the house with my brothers when I was younger.

What is one gift you hope to receive this year? And one you plan on giving?

I’m not too sure what I want for Christmas this year. I usually ask for jewelry and new clothes.  I'm still looking for gifts to give my family and friends.

How are you spending the holidays?

I’ll be spending the holidays back home in Barbados with family. It’s a tradition we started after my father passed away, being in Barbados—my grandmother’s homeland—always brings a special warmth to our hearts (and bodies) as we escape the chill of New York! It also gives my grandmother something to look forward to, allowing her to spend precious time with family still there.


What’s a holiday memory you cherish from childhood?

One childhood holiday memory I’ll always treasure is opening presents on Christmas morning. My sister and I would start by unwrapping gifts at home, and then our family would head to Long Island to join my cousins and share our 'best gifts' together. Often, these gifts were duplicates in different colors, ensuring that no one ever felt left out. What made this tradition so special to me was the collective joy of 'saving the best for last'—the experience of sharing that moment with each other made the gifts feel so much more meaningful. Some of my most unforgettable Christmases were the ones when I received my first iPod Touch, iPhone, Beats by Dre headphones, instruments, and beat machines. At the time, I couldn’t fully appreciate how impactful these gifts would be, but looking back, it wasn’t the presents—it was the shared moments of Joy that truly shaped me.

What is one gift you hope to receive this year? And one you plan on giving?

One gift I’d love to receive is a fresh pair of shoes! Although, I think I might’ve already gotten my wish. My sister and little cousins picked out some dope sneakers for me during Black Friday shopping—thanks, girls! I’m truly blessed. As for a gift I plan to give, I’m getting my granny a new NutriBullet blender. That poor thing is about to break every morning when she makes her smoothie! But shhh, don’t tell her, y’all!

How are you spending the holidays?

I worked all year with no days off so I’m finishing the year taking some time out to spend quality time with my family for a few weeks.

What’s a holiday memory you cherish from childhood?

Every year we eat seafood and gumbo for Christmas and I’ve always looked forward to that.

What is one gift you hope to receive this year? And one you plan on giving?

I look forward to blessing my cousins and family members with the things they want. Whether it be shoes or gaming systems and I look forward to getting gifts from mom or grandma that are more sentimental. I’m at a place in my career I can buy what I want but the gifts they give me are priceless and mean the most. 

How are you spending the holidays?

This year, I'm keeping the holidays low-key but meaningful. I'll spend some time with my close circle and focus on self-care and reflecting on all I've accomplished. But what I'm most excited about is giving back. I'm planning to give away gifts to kids in Brooklyn. It's important to me to create joy for others, especially those who might not have everything they need during the holidays. Growing up, I know how much those small gestures can mean.

What's a holiday memory you cherish from childhood?

The holidays weren't always perfect growing up, but I’ll never forget the way little things like holiday lights and music made me feel. There was one year someone gave me a gift, and it reminded me that even when you don't have much, there are people who care. That's part of why I want to give back this year-it's my way of spreading that same love and hope to kids who might be in a similar spot.

What is one gift you hope to receive this year? And one you plan on giving?

 Honestly? A bone-straight blonde middle part buss down 30-inch bundles and a Hermès Kelly bag in gold with palladium hardware-I'm joking... but not really! For real, though, I'm all about giving this year. I plan to spoil my siblings because they mean the world to me. We've been through so much together, and they're my ride-or-die. Whether it's sneakers they've been eyeing, or games, or just quality time, I want them to feel loved and appreciated. They've always been my biggest supporters, and the holidays are the perfect time to show them how much that means to me.

I received a DVD of all the Boondocks episodes.  Boondocks got a lot to do with my personality

I don’t expect anything, I appreciate whatever I get.

How are you spending the holidays?
I'm tempted to go to Tokyo, but it seems I’ll be embracing stillness this holiday season and spending time with my family and my dogs. As I get older, I find that I use the holidays to reflect and reset. It’s a wonderful time to set intentions for the coming year. 

What’s a holiday memory you cherish from childhood?
I’ll never forget going back home to Ghana and meeting my grandma for the first time. We danced, ate Fufu, and stayed up all night. Seeing my family and touching the soil felt spiritual. 

What is one gift you hope to receive this year? And one you plan on giving?
I pray for peace and stability this year, and I plan to share the gift of space with young artists through my new creative residency located in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Intimately with close family. 

What’s a holiday memory you cherish from childhood? 

When I was a kid, Santa always called us from the North Pole on Christmas Eve. He was cold and in a hurry and Rudolf was ready to go! We could hear the jingle bells in the distance and Santa told us what snacks he preferred. My uncle really nailed that! 

What is one gift you hope to receive this year? And one you plan on giving? 

Traditional gifts aren’t on my mind this year as much as quality time with my family and feeling the spirit behind the true meaning of Christmas. 

How are you spending the holidays?

 I'll be spending the holidays in the motherland (Ghana) with my family.

What’s a holiday memory you cherish from childhood? 

I always look forward to opening presents. Gifting is my love language (giving and receiving). Another way to my heart is through my belly. My mother does a Christmas brunch every year so all my friends and family come over to our house for a merry good time early in the day! We eat VERY well, play games and laugh while Christmas music blasts throughout the house. Football is on the TV and movies/videogames are going for the kids. True holiday spirit!

What is one gift you hope to receive this year? And one you plan on giving?

I've been saying all year I would like some jewelry, so I'm hoping to get a little tennis play. I've also been asking for a face steamer for like three years now so that crossed my mind as an answer but I said, "don't get your hopes up". Literally, as I'm typing, my best friend, Jewelle, gives me an early Christmas gift since I'll be out of the country and guess what it is?? A FACE STEAMER. I'm still trying to decide what to give others. I want something that will make people feel special, but practical so they'll actually use and appreciate it. I give sneakers and massages a lot because I love sneakers so I'm trying to stay away from that. At the moment I'm still researching what to give others. 

How are you spending the holidays?

I’ll most definitely be spending it with my family, my loved ones. We’ll be doing matching pajamas, baking cookies, opening gifts, watching movies, just having fun doing stuff I don’t get to do with them often.

What’s a holiday memory you cherish from childhood?

Playing in the snow and having snowball fights with my older sisters. I have four sisters, I’m the only boy, and I’m the youngest child. My sisters used to bully me when we would play in the snow, they had to make me tough because I was the only boy. We used to fight in the snow because we barely get snow in Memphis. We played in the snow til it was gone. The snow was already gone but there were little pieces of snow left so we were still fighting and playing in it. 

I used to skate on the ice, the water would freeze up and I would go on the water and skate. I used to do that with my sisters too before they got too grown. I’m big on family when it comes to holidays. My sisters were spread out so I was always having to go to different parts of my family to see everybody so I’m really big on family and the holidays.

What is one gift you hope to receive this year? And one you plan on giving?

That first question is hard because I like giving gifts better than getting them. I’d like to get a lot of money delivered in some big blue Goyard bags. 

I plan on giving my mama a big lump sum of money. I do that every year, I always give my family lump sums of money for them to go do whatever they wanna do, because you never really know what people need.

How are you spending the holidays?

On a cruise ship in the Caribbean with my favorite people! I’m over the moon excited—my nephew is obsessed with anything on wheels, and this will be his very first time seeing a massive ship. I can’t wait to see the sparkle in his eyes when he takes in this big ol’ boat!

What’s a holiday memory you cherish from childhood?

Our family loves a good prank, and I’ll never forget the Christmas my sister and I wrapped rolls of toilet paper as gifts for my mom. We’re supposed to be humble and grateful for every gift, but my mom’s reaction was the exact opposite—her sheer disappointment and bamboozled face still make me cackle to this day. She almost cried, and while that might not sound funny, if you were there, you’d have been in tears too—from laughing!

This December, I’m focusing on gifting myself an overflowing amount of self-love, healing my inner child, and nurturing the parts of me that need care. It’s all about love and growth this holiday! At the top of the year, I’ll be sharing the gift of my music with the world—and the best gift you can give in return is simply listening and sharing.

How are you spending the holidays? 

This Christmas I am continuing my family tradition of going up to the Poconos. My sisters, my nieces and nephews, my aunts and cousins. 

What’s a holiday memory you cherish from childhood? 

I was 11 and my mom didn’t have any money for Christmas gifts (there was 6 of us).  I was sitting in a dining room chair watching Spider-Man and my mom’s best friend’s son came over and brought me his leapfrog that he got for Christmas and I cried. It was the best gift I ever got cause I didn’t expect anything and he didn’t have to share his gift. That is why I love Christmas. 

What is one gift you hope to receive this year? And one you plan on giving? 

I want to receive the new Brandon Blackwood duffle and a Nut milk maker. I plan on making stockings for all the kids in the family with their favorite things and getting my nephew his beloved Essentials gear.

I’ll be on the move this holiday season… taking my little one on a daddy-daughter trip to Hawaii til Christmas Eve and then back to Los Angeles to spend Christmas Day with the family. I’ve got plenty of holiday memories that I cherish; from going out each year to pick the Christmas tree, to baking cookies for “Santa” with my dad on Christmas Eve.

Currently, I’m spending time with close friends and family listening to my new single “Jiggle Bell Rock”!

I remember for my 9th Christmas, my family all got together at my uncle's and instead of having it separate, we all shared a Christmas together!

I don’t really expect anything for Christmas honestly, I haven’t since I was young. However, I plan on getting my younger siblings whatever they want!

I am spending my holiday in Miami. My sister, niece, and nephew are coming to celebrate with me. I love a warm Christmas. I'm gonna cook plenty food so they can have leftovers and smoke plenty Christmas trees!!!

I cherish EVERY holiday memory when my mother was alive.

Most of my immediate family is in Cali, so the gift I wanted this year was to not have to go to them. Instead, they come to me for the holidays! My sister and her children are coming and I am elated!!! Overjoyed! I'm cooking Christmas breakfast, snacks and dinner!!! I am looking forward to giving my nephew his new gaming system for Christmas. He is such an appreciative child. I can't wait to see his reaction.

I’m spending the holidays with our little family, that’s my partner Henry and the girls, just cooking, eating, watching movies and playing games at home. It’s all very wholesome. I’m gonna teach everyone how to play dominoes and get Henry to teach me spades, 'cause it's time I caught up on these American traditions.

I can honestly say I don’t have many; it was a tough time all around. But I remember watching the South Park Christmas special and crying with laughter so hard I thought I’d run out of air. That show was not for kids, and I was grateful for that 'cause neither was my humour!

What is one gift you hope to receive this year?

I like anything cosy, so cosy socks, slippers, robes, blankets, sweaters, hats — anything cosy really. I am waiting on some sneakers Henry is making for me (he makes clothes and shoes), so I hope they’re done in time too. I’ve seen the prototype and it’s epic!And one you plan on giving? Let’s say Sephora is going to have even more of my money, because these girls like makeup!

How are you spending the holidays?

I’m spending my holidays with my family - at my favorite cousin's house we are having a Pajama Party and mom is gonna cook big food and just vibe out with the family.

What’s a holiday memory you cherish from childhood?

The most precious moment I cherish is the time I had with my cousin Branden Mitchell. We used to get fly and call each other, and meet up bright and early so we can see our family .

The gift I want for myself is a big ole studio. The gift I wanna give is a house for my momma.

How are you spending the holidays?

I don’t really get too many days off, I spend most holidays helping our family with chores, working on writing songs, or eating huge portions of mommas cooking.

I still remember my first gaming console. We grew up at a place where everything was hammy downs by cousins so when I finally first got my own gaming system it was pretty surreal for me.

What is one gift you hope to receive this year? And one you plan on giving?

I’m hoping to receive some new guitar equipment, nothing too extravagant, just something that can help me create music. I’m excited to give out some new boots to those in need. It really brings me joy to share with others.

I'll be spending it in my new house with my son and the rest of my family!

One year my grandpa had one of his friends dress up like Santa and delivered a bike on Christmas Day and I thought it was the coolest thing ever!

The only gift I want is to see my family’s smiles on Christmas morning opening up gifts!

How are you spending the holidays? 

I’m spending my holidays with my children this year. Usually I’m on the road doing shows but this year I want to give my energy to my babies and receive the biggest gift ever received which is their love.

Growing up, my grandma was really against holidays but she made it special for me. My favorite memory was her cooking. It made the day more special - nothing better than big mama cooking.

I’ve already been blessed with everything I want in life with just simply being able to love my children. But, a perfect gift would be a fresh pair of Nike Air Force 1s all white. I plan on getting my younger son tickets to see WWE Raw in Dallas Texas - he absolutely loves Roman Reigns 

How are you spending the holidays? 

I have a brand-new newborn..I got a new Beamer and a 9-foot tree that we'll decorate. I'll be with my close family and the fam I created.

What’s a holiday memory you cherish from childhood? 

When I graduated from HS, the Thanksgiving immediately after, my grandma taught me how to cook. I still can't cook like that but it's the thought that counts.

I got it already, my brand new daughter. She was born on 11.11. Big blessing, she's my twin.. Look just like me.  I plan on giving back, giving away toys to kids and making other people as happy as I am.
