Drake's #InMyFeelingsChallenge Has Made Its Way To The Church...
Drake and Shiggy’s #InMyFeelingsChallenge has gone global, garnering fans from Will Smith to Ciara and even Kirk Franklin. However, the challenge went from worldly to holy real quick. Rumor has it that if you take a secular song and sprinkle some Jesus in it, it becomes a gospel song. Well, Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, in Atlanta, decided to see if that test would be proven true.
The Youth and Young Adult Choir took the "come as you are" sentiment literally and found a way to have Jesus meet them where they are. Remixing Drizzy’s hit single with “Jesus, do you love me? Are you riding? Say you’ll never, ever leave from beside me… ride with me.”
It's not uncommon for churches to incorporate pop culture into worship as a way to relate to the youth. So who can be really mad at this? Neither Drake nor Shiggy have responded to this version of the challenge, but this is hella cute. Check it out above.
