Gucci Mane's luck has turned around after all. One day after being indicted on an aggravated assault charge, an Atlanta judge granted Gucci release on $75,000 bond Wednesday (April 10).

But once he gets out, he still won't be free.

The rapper, formally known as Radric Davis, was placed on house arrest and won't be allowed to leave the confines of his residence unless it's work related. He must also turnover his passport and submit to random drug and alcohol testing.

As of yesterday afternoon, Gucci's release was being held up due to unrelated charges in nearby DeKalb County.

"The most important thing is that he be able to meet his contractual obligations," said Gucci's lawyer, Drew Findling.

Traveling for shows is how Gucci pays the bills but making a public appearance is what landed him behind bars in the first place. The 33-year-old is accused of hitting a soldier over the head with a bottle after the man asked for a photo.

Findling doesn't believe the victim's "suspicious" story because there are no other witnesses.

"The evidence continues to just be only the victim's statement," Findings said. "In these days if somebody makes an epically prejudicial statement…or commits a violent act, it's all over YouTube before you can pronounce YouTube. But nothing surfaced in a week after the incident."

With or without video proof, Gucci has a reputation for not playing well with others. He was ordered to pay a woman $60,000 for pushing her out of a moving car.
