50 Cent Pleads Not Guilty to Domestic Violence Charges
50 Cent first joked about reports that he allegedly attacked the mother of his child and now the rap mogul must face the music. 50 pleaded not guilty to domestic violence and appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom Monday (Aug. 5), where he was ordered to turn in all of his guns, according to TMZ.
A protective order has also been put in place barring 50 from coming within 100 feet of Daphne Joy, the model with whom he secretly had a child. It is unclear when Joy met 50 and he has never admitted to having a child with her.
The G-Unit CEO reportedly flipped out at Joy's L.A. apartment, destroying furniture and other items. He was charged with domestic violence and property damage Friday (Aug. 2).
Making matters worse, as 50 left the courtroom this morning he was served with more paperwork related to the case.
The alleged assault came after another damaging report about the Queens native's family life. Last month, alleged text messages between 50 and his oldest son, Marquise, leaked online. In them, the "21 Questions" rapper went so far as to disown his 16-year-old son during the exchange. He blames the child's mother for making the story public.
A rep for 50 responded "no comment" regarding the domestic violence case.
