University of Nebraska football player Johnny Rodgers awarded Heisman Trophy.

<p>Multi-talented football star Johnny Rodgers was <a target="_blank" href="http://www.heisman.com/winners/j-rodgers72.php">awarded</a> the Heisman Trophy. Known as one of the most versatile players in <a target="_blank" href="http://nebraska.edu/">University of Nebraska</a> history, he operated as a running back, as a punt returner, pass receiver and blocker. His 72-yard punt return to score the first touchdown over Oklahoma in 1971 ? dubbed the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=100&ATCLID=3002">Game of the Century</a> ? helped the Huskers seize the victory, 35-31. Rodgers would go on to play for the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.chargers.com/">San Diego Chargers</a> in the NFL.</p>
