Taraji P. Henson Covers Ebony Magazine
Taraji P. Henson is seriously working it on the cover of Ebony magazine's October issue in a sexy embellished top with mesh and gold detailing. Not only is she busy promoting her latest film, No Good Deed, alongside British hottie Idris Elba, but she's been working hard to build herself an empire. Still, Henson, who also executive produced the new flick, admitted that she feels like a D-list player.
"I'm still treated like I'm on the D-list. I'm still being considered with actresses who haven't done half the stuff I've achieved," the actress said before adding how she loves to prove people wrong. "When people tell me no, I get hyped. Because when I prove that I can and will, I love watching people eat crow."
With beloved films like Hustle & Flow, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Baby Boy and Think Like a Man, our girl is far from the D-list crowd. In fact, Henson admits that she's used her celebrity to beat the lines at restaurants.
"If someone tells me there's a wait, I'll walk right to the front of the line like, 'I need a table now. I need to eat, and I want this. So let's work this out,'" she said.
Admit it, you'd do the same thing, too, if your face got you perks like that.
Henson also shared how her dad advised her to surround herself with people who have solutions rather than problems, what her guilty pleasures are — "watching ratchet, ratchet television" — and what body part she would go under the knife to get fixed.
"My stomach. I get it from my mom, who had to get a tummy tuck because she didn't exercise," Henson said. "I try to work out at least five days a week. But if it reaches the point where I am not satisfied, I'm just going to be like, 'Can you suck this out of me? Thanks!'"
